Title:		TP-d and Lovin' It
Read:		Our daughter, Taylor, and her soccer teammates decided to go out and do some TP-ing the other night. Every year there’s a war between the boys and the girl’s soccer teams and hundreds of trees take on that coveted streamer look. Decorating with toilet paper has become an art form. Who knew? I remember Mary, my wife, telling me a while back, “I wish our house would get TP-d.” When I asked her why, she said that it would send a message to our girls that someone was thinking of them. She sees it as a twisted compliment, affection that requires cleanup. Maybe she’s right. I think this Surprise Me experiment is sort of an invitation for God to TP my life. I want to know that I’m on his radar screen. I want to be hit with his streamers. I want to look out my window and see evidence of his love for me. Will it look beautiful to me every day, on first glance? Probably not. Some surprises are difficult and challenging. But when we see the big picture, there’s always a certain charm to God’s Charmin decorating.
