Title:		Trolling for Orphans
Read:		A couple of years ago Mary and I went to Cambodia to visit my cousin and his wife. They run an orphanage over there. We spent a whole day at this orphanage in the country listening to the children sing and read and perform and show us their art work. It was a fun day. They followed us everywhere—we were the obvious novelty for them that day. Mary had one particular girl who never left her side—holding Mary’s hand, never letting go. As we prepared to leave, we got in the car and rolled the windows down and said our goodbyes. This little girl stood outside Mary’s window and leaned in, and in a sweet, tender voice she said, “Will you be my mom?” It was an emotional, tear-filled goodbye. It made me think of us—we humans as orphans. God has been building this Orphanage in the sky…huge, and rumor has it that it’s pretty cool. And God is trolling the streets of the earth with his windows rolled down, asking, “Anyone want to be adopted? I want to be your dad. Come home with me. I love you.” What a surprisingly wonderful offer.
