Title: Terry speaks at Baylor U following the death of Kyle Lake
Location: Baylor University Chapel
Details: Terry spoke to 4000 Baylor students on October 31st, just one day after the tragic death of Kyle Lake. Kyle was the loved pastor of University Baptist Church, a haven for Baylor students.
Terry, his wife, and daughter were in attendence last Sunday when the accident happened. Kyle had emailed Terry several days earlier saying that he would be introducing UBC to the Surprise Me experiment the following Sunday. When he found out that Terry would be in town, he asked Terry to be present and say a few words.
About 10 minutes after the introduction of Surprise Me, Kyle stepped into the baptismal and suffered electrocution due to faulty wiring.
Terry had happened upon Kyle the day before on the streets of Waco where Kyle had expressed his eagerness and anticipation for UBC to begin the experiment.
On Monday, the 31st, struggling with emotion and questions, Terry spoke with the Baylor students and attempted to help them wrestle with the issues.
